Job Title: Production Team Leader
Pay Rate: $23.80 to $28/hr
Duration: 10 Months
Location: Hingham, MA
Shift: 6:45 AM TO 3:15 PM
Note: Must pass a background check and drug test with minimum education qualification of High School Diploma
This position is for the Power/Energy division.
We are looking for an Assembly Team Leader.
- Making sure daily production targets are achieved, taking quality, quantity, and delivery on time into consideration.
- Verifying the appropriate use of equipment and machines assigned to personnel prioritizing safety.
- Responsible for providing support to the production supervisor to achieve set objectives as well as supervising personnel in charge.
- Direct contact: Production Manager, Production Supervisor Multifunctional team, Operators under their responsibility.
Responsibilities / Assignments
Safety
- Assuring personnel understand risks in operation and know safety measures used to prevent injuries.
- To assure the safety of operators
Staff development
- Through training in basic and critical operations
- To assure operators of multi-ability
Production plan revision
- Daily plan & priorities meeting
- To validate daily goals and critical orders.
- Adherence to production sequence.
Daily production target
- Updating & communicating daily production results in daily meetings as well as limitations/material shortages to achieve set
- To measure efficiency and create transparency in other areas
- Line balancing in production lines (if necessary) Assigning tasks to operators to ensure continuity of flow and achievement of critical orders.
- To ensure that daily targets are met with the staff available, and to ensure that there is someone assigned to critical jobs.
Shortage Reports
- Filling in material shortage reports.
- To create visibility for other areas and production supervisor and ensure missing parts get pulled in to finish jobs in time.
Finished good notifications
- Closing work orders through SAP To clear material from the system & deliver to the following area.
Clearing Quality Issues
- Working together with quality inspectors to correct any issues preventing jobs from moving to ship.
- To create a flow between the current & following area
Tracing & following up on critical jobs
- Make sure operators are working on the critical jobs according to the sequence and plan discussed daily with the production supervisor To ensure prioritization of jobs and meeting daily targets 5S Methodology Make sure the workspace is tidy and organized To maintain a clean working environment and promote lean manufacturing
